Cider

Back in March, a bus driver showed up at our door, pleading for help. He had just finished his route when he found a cat abandoned, terrified, and crammed inside a tiny carrier at the back of the bus. That cat was Cider. He was scared, confused, and completely shut down. We took him in, gave him the care he so desperately needed, and waited, hoping he’d start to trust again.

Little by little, Cider began to open up. Beneath the fear was a gentle, loving, incredibly smart cat who just wanted to be loved. But weeks passed. Then months. As wonderful as he was, no one asked about him. That is, until one of our own volunteers, someone who had been quietly bonding with him realized she couldn’t imagine life without him.

Today, Cider is home. He’s got all the toys he could dream of, a warm bed in every room, and a mom who adores him. He keeps her on her toes, fills the house with joy, and finally knows what it feels like to be safe and wanted. From forgotten on a bus to cherished at home, this is the life Cider deserves.
