When CJ arrived from ACC, we didn’t know what he had experienced before coming into our care. What we did know was that he was frightened, withdrawn, and unable to open up to anyone.

One of our amazing volunteers decided to give CJ a chance and welcomed him into his home. None of us could have predicted just how powerful the bond between them would become.

As CJ began to feel safe, he grew deeply attached to his foster dad and became fiercely protective of him. With patience, training, and an abundance of love, CJ slowly learned that he no longer had to be afraid.

After a few months, it became clear that CJ had already found where he belonged. His foster home became his forever home, and he finally had a family of his own.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated volunteer for never giving up on CJ and for showing him what it means to be loved.
