Hansel’s story began in a heartbreaking way. Born to a mother who was being bred by her owner, Hansel and his sister, Gretel, were left to fend for themselves in a filthy, cold basement, plagued by fleas and without access to proper food or water. It took a great deal of convincing for the owners to surrender them, but once they did, we immediately brought them into our care.

When Hansel first arrived, he was incredibly fearful and unsocialized. He trembled at the sight of any human and would hide under anything he could find. We knew it would take time to earn his trust, and we worked diligently to show him that he was now safe and loved.

We also knew that Hansel would need a special family with experience to help him thrive. Our prayers were answered when a wonderful family came to meet him and Gretel. They were instantly captivated by their sweet faces and endearing underbites, and without hesitation, they promised to give them the best life possible.

Fast forward a few months, and Hansel and Gretel are living their best lives, surrounded by love and the family they deserve. Hansel has blossomed into the dog he was always meant to be, full of joy and affection. We couldn’t be happier for him and are incredibly grateful to his adoptive family for their unwavering support.
