There’s nothing more beautiful than watching a dog who once suffered become the happiest, most loved member of her forever family.

Maya was found in the middle of winter, tied to a fire hydrant and shivering on the ice. She was painfully thin and appeared to be recovering from recently having puppies. Seeing her in that condition was absolutely heartbreaking.

Thankfully, a compassionate person stepped in to rescue her, and an incredible foster family gave Maya the safety, patience, and love she needed to heal. Little by little, she blossomed into the sweet, joyful girl we always knew was inside her.

After waiting more than six months, Maya finally found her perfect forever home in New Hampshire. Today, she is spoiled, deeply loved, surrounded by plenty of space to run and play, and truly the center of her family’s world. The wait was worth every second.

After everything Maya endured, knowing she will never again suffer or feel unwanted means more than words can express.
