One of the most anticipated adoptions of the year has finally happened! 😻 Our boy Shaggy is no longer homeless! Shaggy was found on the street, extremely emaciated and barely able to stand. A Good Samaritan contacted us for help, and we couldn't say no. He was rushed to the emergency hospital and stabilized. After his medical boarding, Shaggy moved from one foster home to another, but his severe anxiety made him difficult to manage. Despite his friendly nature, his anxiety was off the charts—15 on a scale of 1 to 10. He was impossible on walks and hard to correct at home, even for experienced fosters. When the shelter environment didn't work for him either, we had no choice but to send him to a board-and-train school for $5,000. After a few weeks of intensive training, Shaggy came back to the shelter much improved. Then, one of our amazing volunteers decided to foster him. And guess what? Shaggy decided he wasn't leaving! 😻
