Sushi was left behind at a precinct where she spent days waiting, hoping someone would come back for her. Sadly, nobody ever did. Just when it seemed like no one was coming, one of our dedicated volunteers got a call from someone at the precinct, and we were able to take Sushi under our care.

It was December, and our volunteer agreed to foster Sushi through the holidays, just for a little while. But Sushi had other plans. Bit by bit, she won everyone's hearts, and what started as a temporary stay became permanent.

As a senior girl, Sushi faced a few medical issues along the way, but that never once deterred her new family. They embraced her fully, medical needs and all, giving her the best home she could ever ask for. Today, Sushi has a furry sibling and a big, loving family who absolutely adore her!
