Twix had a difficult start to life when he was found as a stray, unable to walk and in urgent need of medical attention. When we were contacted about this young cat in distress, we immediately rushed him to the vet, where we learned that both of his back leg ankles had been crushed. The severity of his injuries meant that he required special surgery to save his legs.

While one leg began to heal, the other presented ongoing challenges. Twix had to endure months of having metal rods in his leg, along with weekly bandaging, x-rays, and strict bed rest—a grueling routine for any young cat. But with the unwavering support of an incredible foster, Twix made it through these difficult months and eventually underwent his second surgery to repair his other leg.

During this time, an adopter who had been following Twix's journey developed a deep connection with him. When they finally met him in person, it was clear that it was meant to be. The adopter decided to adopt Twix in honor of his late wife, a deeply moving and meaningful gesture that touched all of us.

Today, Twix is a happy and active cat. He can jump, run, and enjoy life just as any cat should. This remarkable rescue would not have been possible without the support of our AMA angels. We are forever grateful to them. Thanks to their help, Twix has the happy ending he so rightfully deserves!
