On September 19th, the Internal Audit department at ING Financial Services LLC, comprised of nine enthusiastic team members, dedicated their time and efforts to support our shelter. They spent the day interacting with the dogs in our backyard, vacuuming the shelter, washing the floors, and organizing the facility. Additionally, they assisted with administrative tasks. Some team members also socialized with the shelter cats and helped with their care. We are incredibly grateful to the ING Financial Services LLC team for choosing us for their volunteer day.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the 6th-grade students of St. Athanasius Catholic Academy and their thoughtful teacher, Ms. Gabb. They conducted a service project, collecting supplies for our shelter facility. We feel truly blessed to have such kind-hearted individuals who selflessly think of us. Furthermore, we are immensely proud of the next generation, growing up to be not only generous but also incredibly compassionate. A big thank you to everyone involved in this wonderful project.
A team of 20 young women generously dedicated a few hours to volunteer at our facility. They engaged in tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the shelter facility. All participants demonstrated a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards helping. It was a pleasure sharing rescue stories with them and introducing them to some of the shelter residents.
We extend a heartfelt appreciation to PS 48, an elementary school in Borough Park/Bensonhurst, and the remarkable young women in the 4th and 5th grade who united to raise crucial funds for our organizations. Through bake sales held at their school, they collectively raised an impressive $910! Overjoyed and proud, we invited them to our facility to meet the AMA residents and presented them with goody bags. These inspiring individuals are destined to make a positive impact on the world, and we have no doubt about it.
A group of 8 volunteers came to the shelter and spent the day cleaning inside the dog kennels and reorganizing our stock room. Other volunteers washed windows and vacuumed the shelter.
A group of 8 students spent the day cleaning and organizing the shelter facility. They made sure each cage was washed and wiped for the rescues to rest comfortably in a clean enclosure. Some students vacuumed and washed the floors while others organized supplies used at the shelter facility.
A group of 10 volunteers from Byte NY has spent the day at the AMA Animal Rescue shelter. Volunteers were divided into small groups which were responsible for different things such as: cleaning the shelter, walking the dogs, socializing with cats, administrative assistance as well as organizing supplies in storage.
The three volunteers Shadae Moore, Maykl Iliyasov and Samuel Shork as well as their counselor spent their volunteer hours vacuuming, washing the floors and walls, organizing supplies and doing administrative work in the office.
The girls spent their time looking for businesses who would accept an AMA donation box as well as raised funds for the organization.
