Boomer came to us from a kill shelter in Georgia. The wounds of a traumatic past could easily be observed on him: anxiety, scarring all over his ears, and worst of all, a huge mass on his leg. To make matters even worse, Boomer had a heart murmur that could have complicated his upcoming surgery. Before we proceeded with anesthesia, we had to schedule an echocardiogram to see if the cardiologist would give us the green light for the main surgery. And once it was confirmed that Boomer’s heart was strong enough to handle the surgery, then we moved on to the actual procedure. Unfortunately, the biopsy of his tumor came back as cancerous. The good news is that the tumors like that don't usually spread, though they tend to come back. Regardless of that, we love Boomer and will not give up on the search for his happily ever after. We believe that this sweetest dog deserves his happily ever after, and we'll make sure to provide him with one. Boomer is 35 lbs, housebroken, and is friendly with dogs. However, he's still working on how to properly introduce himself without overwhelming other dogs. If you'd like to learn more about Boomer, please fill out the adoption application today.
