Gizmo was abandoned when his previous owner moved away and was left inside a crate outside of the apartment. He was rescued, but his health wasn't in great condition. Gizmo was diagnosed with FIP, a disease that causes infections and inflammatory lesions around the blood vessels, and in most cases is fatal. He is currently undergoing treatment for this, which will finish on 9/19/2023, and will be put under observation for 12 weeks following that date. Because he is unable to be vaccinated while undergoing FIP treatment, his adopter should follow up with getting him vaccinated in a year.

While Gizmo has been through a lot, he's one resilient feline fella and you can rest assured he's still got zeal for his two favorite pastimes: snuggling and playing! Whether it be chasing a string toy, batting a ball, or scaling a formidable cat tower, you'll see Gizmo playing with his surroundings in ways you've never imagined! And on his lazy days, he'll be happy to nestle on your lap and purr to his heart's content. He's got the sweetest purrs and softest meows, and he'll bat his beautiful blue eyes whenever he wants some affection from you! His foster tells us that Gizmo has the best time hanging out with his foster dog brother, exploring the house together and spending time on the windowsill checking the action outside.
