Pit Mix

Hi, I'm Lincoln! I was originally adopted and now returned due to my previous owner's personal reason. I'm a fun-loving, energetic, goofy, and happy 4 1/2-year old, 55-pound brindle pittie mix, who loves playing fetch/tug of war with my favorite ball or rope, going on long walks, hiking and exploring new places, meeting new people, and when my energy is all expended, cuddling up with my humans. I am fully house-trained and know a full array of commands, such as Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Touch, Watch Me, Paw, Other Paw, and Drop It. I am adaptive, super friendly, loyal, and I brighten up the room with my infectious smile and goofy antics. I am neutered and up-to-date on all of my shots and vaccinations and have no health issues. My ideal home would be with experienced dog owners who are loving and active people that have the time and ability to take me on walks, runs, trips to the park, play, and give me lots of love and attention. While I currently live in Brooklyn, the big city sometimes stresses me out, so I would do best somewhere a bit quieter with more space and access to a backyard, nearby park, or somewhere where I can run around freely! While I am good with most dogs and love running around with my other fur-friends, I would do best being the only dog in a household so I can get all the love and attention. I would do well in a home with older children or teenagers, but a home with young children, toddlers, or infants may not be best for me. I am very food-motivated and eager to please, so I'm very trainable and responsive to commands. I sometimes get triggered on a leash by skateboards or certain large dogs that antagonize me, so it's important to keep up with my training and maintain consistency, so I don't get too rambunctious (distracting me with a treat and using the "Touch" command works wonders)!
