Rye is a playful and fuzzy little guy, and he's ready to plant himself in a forever home where he can harvest an abundance of toys and treats every day!

A kind family found Rye wandering around alone on their porch and brought him to our shelter. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any history on Rye as he had no registered chip, and an owner never came to retrieve him even after weeks of waiting. That’s when we realized that Rye was about to embark on his very own journey of finding his forever home, and we couldn’t be happier to help him!

When he first arrived at our shelter, Rye was very fearful and timid, but with some patience and gentle encouragement, he gradually warmed up to our volunteers and showed us what a bundle of joy he truly is. Rye’s always wagging his tail to let you know he’s excited to go on a walk, and he loves to play around, whether it be an exhilarating game of fetch or a relaxing cuddle session. He's got his own version of photosynthesis going on where he takes the sunlight of your affection and converts it into sugary love that he gives back! And he gets along great with other canine friends the same size, so rest assured he’ll be wonderful on playdates!
