We noticed Stella because of her sweet face and sad eyes. When we visited a local kill-shelter we couldn't just walk by her cage without interacting with her. She was a bit overweight, but it didn't seem to bother her at all. She wagged her tail and licked one of our volunteer's hand and so we took her for a walk. We spend some time outside, we let her run around and play with other dogs, but she never tried to go too far from us, as if she felt safer that way. We weren't ready to take her with us right that moment, but as we left, she stayed in our hearts. We checked on her the next day, and then the next, there were no potential adopters for her. No wonder, she is an adult pitbull, a little overweight and shy in her cage. Few days in we knew that she is already part of the AMA family in our hearts, and we called to schedule the delivery. She is with us ever since, safe and sound, waiting for her forever family to come find her. And we can't wait for these lucky people who will give Stella her happily ever after.
