Prince

We've noticed Prince when we visited a local kill-shelter. He was cowering in a back of a cage, shaking like a leaf. When we lingered by his cage we realized that he wasn't like other dogs, and after taking a closer look we realized that poor Prince was almost completely blind. All he can see is shadows, but nothing more. That is why he was so scared and confused at the shelter- too many new smells and noises, and no way for him to know what is going on. We pulled him immediately and placed him with an experienced foster who dealt with special needs dogs before. Because it was so difficult for Prince to get used to new people and new environments, we knew that it won’t be very easy to find a perfect home for the boy. But when did it ever stopped us?! It took Prince only two days to adjust to his foster home and a true royal personality started coming out. It didn't take him a week until he started bossing around his foster mom and her dog. There is nothing more he preferred than to cuddle with his human, and he really enjoyed being carried around in a bag when outside. A loud street noises still scared him, but that didn’t stop him from running around and doing his business in a more quiet areas. Soon it was the time and so the search for his forever family has begun. A few possible adoptions felt through because Prince just wouldn’t have it. New people weren’t his thing. Until one very patient and loving family came his way. And just like this Prince found his happily ever after. People who love him unconditionally and provide a safe heaven for our blind boy. He (and US!) couldn’t wish for a better forever home. Enjoy the rest of your life, sweet baby!
